Commercial and public buildings
Main and sub distribution for high rise buildings, shopping centres and hotels.
Switchgear
Utilised in buildings, industry, energy and data centres, internationally and domestically, for outstanding design, powerful performance and excellent reliability.
Low voltage switchgear for power distribution and motor control, from main switchboards to distribution boards, up to 690 V AC and 6,300 A main busbar.
Fixed, fixed separated and withdrawable drawer construction, internal separation up to Form 4b, and cubicles for incomers, feeders, motor control and power factor correction, with busbar trunking, distribution boxes and optional online monitoring to complete the installation.

Each family of switchboards and distribution boards covers a different duty and rating, so the range is matched to the project rather than forced into one design.
One modular system of fixed distribution, power factor compensation, variable frequency and soft starter, dual power transfer and withdrawable drawer cubicles, with main busbars from 400 to 6,300 A. Standardised components make it quick to build and easy to modify, for buildings, industry, energy and data centres.
Type tested assemblies to IEC 61439, built from standard components in compact cubicles. A single air circuit breaker incomer to 2,500 A fits a cubicle only 400 mm wide, and two breakers of 2,500 A or three of 1,600 A fit a 600 mm cubicle. Drawer cubicles take 8E to 24E drawers, up to 36 per cubicle, on a 1,400 A vertical busbar (2,000 A enhanced) with rear outgoing cubicles only 600 mm wide. Fixed separate cubicles use a 3,200 A vertical busbar, and air circuit breakers can be mixed with moulded case breakers in one cubicle.
Draw out or fixed separated switchboards for three, four and five wire AC systems up to 690 V, 50 or 60 Hz, for power distribution and motor control in power stations, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical and light industry plants, ports, telecommunications and buildings. They perform particularly well in corrosive environments.
Fixed cabinets with high breaking capacity and good dynamic and thermal stability, for power, lighting and distribution in power stations, substations and industrial plants.
Flexible cabinets for power control, lighting distribution, motor control and protection, and dual power supply switching, suited to on site control and frequent starting of equipment, from 400 to 1,500 A.
Cabinets from 60 to 400 kvar that supply reactive power, improve power factor, adjust network voltage and reduce line losses, built to combine with the distribution and switchboard cabinets above.
Compact busbar trunking from 400 to 6,300 A, with protection from IP40 up to IP66, to carry high currents between the transformer, switchboards and distribution points.
Reliable DC supplies for switching, relay protection, control, signalling and automatic devices at power stations, hydropower stations, electrified railways and substations.
Wall mounted boxes for lighting, power control, leakage and overload protection, metering and equipment supply in factories, offices, shopping centres, hotels and high rise buildings.
Typical ratings for the standard range. Final values are confirmed for each project.
Customised designs available. If your project needs ratings, features, design requirements or arrangements outside the standard range below, we design and manufacture to your requirements and application.

Standard components and a modular layout keep switchboards compact, quick to build and straightforward to extend.
Standardised components allow fast manufacture and easy modification, so a switchboard can be reconfigured or extended as a site changes.
Internal dimensions and layout are planned to reduce footprint, with simple connection between the main circuit and the auxiliary circuit, and installation that keeps upgrade costs under control.
The range is fully type tested, with test reports available.
Protection, metering and communication devices can be built into any switchboard and linked over Modbus or Ethernet to local supervision or cloud based remote access. Together they cover energy use, power quality, asset condition and maintenance, so you can follow loads, harmonics and temperatures in real time, assess circuit breaker ageing, and plan maintenance before a fault. Cabinet doors can carry a QR code that opens the asset record on a phone or tablet. Integration with SCADA and building management systems, and arc flash detection for added operator safety, are available on request.
Buildings, industry, energy, data centres and infrastructure projects have adopted the range for its design, performance and dependable quality.
Delstar supplies LV switchboards for:
Main and sub distribution for high rise buildings, shopping centres and hotels.
Power distribution and motor control for factories and process plants.
Distribution and auxiliary supplies at power stations and generation sites.
Reliable distribution for facilities that cannot afford outages.
Heavy duty switchboards for corrosive environments.
Our LV switchboards are produced in a factory that holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. Sheet metal is CNC punched, laser processed and folded, surfaces are cleaned, degreased and coated on an automated powder coating line, and assemblies are built by trained workers under controlled, standardised production. Type test reports are available for the range. Delstar delivers to site across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific.
