Applications
Delstar switchgear is supplied across the electrical infrastructure of Australasia's most demanding sectors:
- Zone and bulk supply substations (primary switchgear)
- Distribution substations (RMUs and kiosks)
- Industrial MV and LV switchboards (mining, oil and gas, heavy industry)
- Compact substations for renewables and BESS interconnection
- Data centre and hyperscale power infrastructure
- Rail traction and traction power substations
- Independent power producer connection assets
- Asset renewal, life-extension, and SF6-to-SF6-free upgrade programmes
Sourcing and quality assurance
We source switchgear from premier European and Asian OEMs whose installations operate reliably in demanding networks worldwide. Every unit supplied is:
- Type-tested and routine-tested per manufacturer standards, with factory acceptance testing (FAT) available for witness
- Available with seismic qualification and with corrosion protection for harsh coastal and industrial environments, for installations that require it
- Supplied with full technical documentation, routine test reports, and equipment traceability
Lifecycle support
Our switchgear supply is backed by the engineering services required to install, commission, and support each installation across its operational life:
- Installation and commissioning: panel assembly, on-site testing, primary and secondary injection, energisation support
- Testing services: routine and diagnostic testing, protection settings verification, partial discharge and thermal imaging
- Asset management: condition assessment, life-extension planning, upgrade and replacement programmes, SF6-to-SF6-free transition support
